PBS SoCal’s Mobile Lab Empowers the Community with Technology

As part of its Ready to Learn initiative, PBS SoCaL provides access to technology through its Mobile Lab. Equipped with 10 iPads and 10 Google Chrome books, the Lab offers a space for children, parents and the community to explore, learn and engage with PBS KIDS content. Children and parents can play STEM related online games and explore hands-on learning activities from their favorite shows.

KLRU and Boys & Girls Club Team Up on Digital Learning in Austin

KLRU and the Boys & Girls Club East performed an inauguration ceremony during their “Kids Day," celebrating the installment of a new digital learning center “The Demonstration Station.” It features 16 mini iPads that are jam-packed with PBS Kids content, including videos, e-books, and over 50 apps designed to improve reading, math, science, and even art skills.

Andson and Vegas PBS Partnership: Achieving Collective Impact in Summer Months

The Andson Foundation, a local foundation in Las Vegas, NV, funds teacher salaries to run literacy- and STEM-based campuses at public libraries, YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs during the summer.  Vegas PBS works with the Foundation as a community partner on this initiative, training the teachers, providing the supplies and books for use on campus, and performing a quality control role.

Leading up to Back to School, WXXI’s “Dinolympics” is Good for the Heart

 WXXI/Rochester welcomed nearly 300 people to its studios on Saturday August 9 to celebrate Dinosaur Train’s “Classic in the Jurassic” special, and for some heart-healthy games and activities connected to the program. WSKG's Kids in Motion Curriculum Increases Movement in the Classroom
