With local support from the Rochester City School District and Universal Pre-K Start Smart, and funding from The Jim Henson Company, WXXI welcomed nearly 300 people to its Rochester, NY studios on Saturday August 9 to celebrate Dinosaur Train’s “Classic in the Jurassic” special, and for some heart-healthy games and activities connected to the program. There was hula-hooping, relay races, bean bag-tossing, bowling, and lots and lots of hopping, skipping, and jumping. All in all, kids and families explored fun and healthy ways to be active.

WXXI also gave families a sneak peek at the brand new, never been seen yet, “Classic in the Jurassic” one-hour special and provided a healthy snack of apples and water. (Which was much needed after all that jumping and hopping!)
