KET’s Super Saturday Celebrates 5 Years with Record Engagement
Posted by

Every August, KET welcomes kids and families to its Network Center in Lexington, KY for a Super Saturday full of music, science, and health explorations. Attracting close to 20 different community and event partners, KET works with these partners to make the day very STEAM- and pre-literacy focused, and to ensure close coordination with the curriculums of PBS KIDS programs.
Now in its 5th year, Super Saturday has grown each year, in 2014 engaging more than 2,300 people. PBS KIDS’ Mr. Steve has become a regular part of the event, complementing the booths and activities made available by event partners with his unique brand of musical learning. Scheduled in late summer, KET’s Super Saturday is a community party that nicely bridges summer learning and back to school.
