This summer, with funding from College Savings Iowa 529 Plan, Iowa Public Television taught kids across the state to turn their televisions off, to go outside and play, to use their imaginations, and to read good books!

In his 8th annual summer road trip, IPTV local PBS KIDS host Dan Wardell travelled to libraries in 68 cities and towns throughout the state, engaging kids and families in literacy, healthy living and other summer learning fun!

Kids were encouraged to come out and see Dan in person, send him drawings and letters along the way, as well as follow his adventures online: http://blogs.iptv.org/blogs/dantastic/.
